For a long time, migratory birds had stopped passing through the Marchica Lagoon. Their habitats and nesting areas were threatened by wastewater discharge and pollution. That was before the revival of Nador’s treasure through the Marchica Med project. Today, the ecosystems of the Marchica Lagoon merge into a unique world of exploration and contemplation. One destination: wonder.

A full-scale ornithology lesson awaits you on the 10 kilometers of trails in the Marchica Lagoon bird reserve. Keep your eyes open. Listen. More than 100 bird species perform their show here in their paradise. Depending on the seasons and observation points, you can spot flamingos, gulls, cormorants, and blue thrushes.
